All Souls Day
Is Monday 2nd November. As usual there will be a choral requiem at St Mary Mags, at 7:30 pm, thanks to the Music Society. There are lists at the back of the church for you to write down names to be remembered.

Welcome
Today we welcome as our celebrant and preacher Fr Stephen Mason, the Vicar of St Johns, Hyde Park. We should be very grateful to those who have kept our services going during Father Henry’s absence; he will be back in action on Sunday 8th November.

November Book Club
The meeting is at 7.30pm on Wednesday 25th November, and the book to read is “The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas” by John Boyne. Please see the poster at the back of church.

Christmas Fair
Please make sure the Christmas Fair is in your diary. It will be on Saturday 5th December. A stallholders’ meeting will be held after church at St.Peter’s on Sunday 1st November. If you can’t attend, please email Julie Benet jb@home27.co.uk.

Hymn Books
We need to buy some new copies of the hymn book at St.Peter’s. If you are interested in sponsoring some books, please speak to Judith Silk.They will be £10 a copy.

St  Pauls Cathedral
The booklet containing the programme of adult learning events at the Cathedral for autumn and winter is now at the back of the church. Sunday 1st “A Theology of Desire” Professor Sarah Coakley, 1pm – 2 pm free.

St.Martin-in-the-Fields
“The Curse and the Promise” lectures on religion and violence. Monday 2nd November Shayk Abdal Hakim Murad at 7 pm. Details in church or on their website, www.smitf.org

St Peter’s PCC meets at 7 pm in the meeting room on Wednesday 4th November. St Mary Mags PCC meets in the Vestry on Thursday 12th November.

St Mary Mags’ Dedication Festival
This Sunday (18th October) we celebrate the anniversary of the dedication of St.Mary Magdalene’s Church with a combined Family service at 11am, followed by a buffet. Please bring food (main courses St.Mary Mags). James has recruited a choir and so we shall be treated to a choral Mass for a change.

Harvest and US
This year in our harvest services we used some of the harvest material produced by the missionary agency US (formerly USPG) which highlights their work with the Delhi Brotherhood Society, which we have usually supported. There will be a display of photos of their work on Sunday 18th.

St Mary Mags’ Dedication Festival

West London Night Shelter
Emmanuel Church, Harrow Road, is a member of the group of churches offering night shelter to homeless people who attend the West London Mission Day Centre. Emmanuel is offering shelter on Thursdays every three weeks beginning on 8th October 2015, until 28th January 2016. If you would like to help this would be for either an evening, night, or morning shift. Even if you can only do one session that would be welcome.
