St Mary Magdalene’s Annual Meeting
The Annual Parochial Church Meeting for St Mary Magdalene’s is on Sunday 23rd at 11am. This is your chance to hold us to account for the running of the church. We elect Churchwardens, and the members of the Parochial Church Council. The meeting receives reports on the year’s activities, and the PCC accounts. The Annual Report and Accounts are available for your inspection at the back of church. Also at the back of church is the nomination list for PCC members. Please nominate people! We need a full PCC to  carry out its work properly. The only qualification to be a PCC member is that you must be on the Church Electoral Roll. The PCC represents the congregation. Nomination forms for Churchwardens can be obtained from Fr Henry, and must be returned to him.

Earthday: Exhibition of Paintings
We are hosting an exhibition, “Earthday” by local artists, Richard Heley, Jean Parker and Seema Gill, at St Peter’s House on Saturday 22nd 2-7pm and Sunday 23rd 2-4pm.

May Book Club
The book to read is “The House of Hidden Mothers”  by Meera Syal, available in paperback and on Kindle. We are meeting on Wednesday 17th May at 7.30pm in the Meeting Room at St Peter’s. The usual posters are up in church so you can let us know whether you might be coming.

Art Competition
Westminster Faith Exchange has its annual children’s art competition, closing on Monday 15th May. This year’s theme is “Being Alone”. Enter on the website www.westminster.gov.uk/faith-exchange

Confessions Before Easter
Fr Henry is always available to hear confessions, just call or email to fix a time.

Palm Sunday
Our preacher today is Fr Martin Quayle, SSM in the Apedale Benefice. If you want to take a palm cross for someone who wasn’t able to get to church please do so.

Come and Have Tea with Us
We are having a group “Tea and Tunes” on Sunday afternoons during Lent, in the meeting room at St Peter’s at 3:30pm. We listen to some music over tea and cakes, and talk about the Bible. You aren’t allowed to fast on Sundays, so cake is OK! Last session today

St Mary Mags is revisimg the church Electoral Roll prior to the Annual Meeting (on 23rd April) Please check your details on the 2016 roll and is anything needs changing fill in a new form.

Palm Sunday
Remember that next Sunday our combined service begins at 10:30 am at St Mary Mags for the Blessing of Palms. We then walk together to St Peter’s for the rest of the service. If you can’t walk you can of course wait for us at St Peter’s.
