September Special Today!
The Women’s Social Group at St Peter’s are having a celebration for their 3rd birthday today, after church. Please stay in your seats after the service ends, and the entertainment will follow, and then the raffle. Refreshments will be served in the hall after that.  

Farewell to Fr Reji
We shall be saying farewell to Fr Reji at a joint service on Sunday 1st October at 11am at St Peter’s (it is St Peter’s Dedication Festival), with a party afterwards. There is a card to be signed, and if you would like to give something towards Fr Reji’s present, please give it to Judith Silk. Hence there is no Mass at St Mary Mags next Sunday.

Design a Tile Workshops
This is your big opportunity to leave your mark on the new building at St Mary Mags. The staircase of the new Heritage Wing will feature tiles illustrating events from the history of Paddington and the church. These tiles will be designed by local people in a series of workshops starting soon, and as users of the building you have priority booking. The workshops are at the Stowe Centre from 6pm to 7:30 pm starting on 28th September, and running for 6 Thursdays. Please contact Lucy Foster to book your place Lucy@pdt.org.uk or phone 07775901963.

The Autumn lecture series starts on Monday 25th at 7pm with Alister McGrath on the Reformation. See leaflet for details.

The book to read is “Perfume” by Patrick Suskind. The usual posters are in church for you to sign up.

The orchestral Mass for All Souls Day will be held this year at Holy Trinity, Pribce Consort Road, SW7. As susual it will be at 7:30 pm on 2nd November.

St Peters PCC will meet in the meeting room at 7pm on Wednesday 13th September. St Mary Magdalelene’s PCC will meet at 7:30pm in the Vicarage on Tuesday 19th September (note change of date)

Music Society
The organ recital (which would normally be held at St Mary Mags) will be at Notre Dame de France, off Leicester Square, on Thursday 14th September. James will be playing.

St Cyprian’s
Our neighbours at St Cyprian’s, Clarence Gate (Glentworth Street, near Baker Street tube) are celebrating their Patronal Festival on Friday 15th at 7:30 pm. Sermon from Archdeacon Rosemary. Music by Kodaly and Britten.

Help Fix St Peter’s Roof!
We are having urgent work done on the roof at St Peter’s, fixing splits in the asphalt and repointing the lead flashings round the gutters, because water has been coming in when it has rained hard. This will cost us £3,000. Please can you help us to raise this sum? Thanks for your donations so far, which have taken us to over £1,150. Donations to Fr Henry or to Richard Benet.

Weekday Services
We have resumed Evening Prayer on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5.30 pm in the Vestry at St Mary Mags. We shall resume the Wednesday Mass soon, but this will need to be in the evening, probably at 6pm or 6:30pm, but we will need feedback as to whether that will suit people. Speak to Fr Henry.
