IN THE PINK Advent 3 2018

   Issue 468

Carol Service
The traditional “Feast” of Carols by Candlelight is today at 6pm at Mary Magdalene’s. James has obtained the services of a choir for us, so we are in for a treat. Do come along. If you can bring some mince pies for afterwards that would be appreciated!

Christmas Flowers
Donations, please, for Christmas flowers, to Fr Henry or Richard.

Christmas Fair
A really big thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas Fair, stall-holders, people who gave prizes, people who bought raffle tickets, and everyone who came. Special thanks to St Peter’s School Choir, for coming along and singing (and thanks to Santa for his visit). The Christmas Fair raised £900, which is roughly the same as last year, and a good result, considering how few people were out and about on a particularly foul morning.

Christingle
The service which is specially for children, is on Thursday 20th and so we are making the Christingles at 6.30 pm on Wednesday 19th in the Meeting Room.

Christmas Services
Carols by Candlelight; St Mary Magdalene’s, 6pm Sunday 16th

Christingle Service; St Peter’s, 5pm Thursday 20th.

Midnight Mass; St Mary Magdalene’s, 11pm Monday 24th

Christmas Eucharist; St Peter’s, 11am Tuesday 25th

Leaflets
Please take copies of the Christmas Service leaflets and give them to your friends, put them through doors, leave them in hallways, whatever. There are also A4 posters for you to put in your window. The services are on our website, and on “A Church Near You” so you can always direct people there.

After Christmas
As usual, we have combined services on the 2 Sundays after Christmas. On Sunday 30th December, there will be no Mass at St Mary Mags, but a Combined Eucharist at St Peter’s at 11am. Then on 6th January we shall keep the Epiphany at 11am at St Mary Mags.
