IN THE PINK Carnival 2018

                               Issue 452
Confirmation
The Confirmation Service is next Sunday; 11am on Sunday 2nd September at St Peter’s. This will be a combined service, so there is no Mass at St Mary Mags that morning. Please pray for Johnson, Abigail and Georgia who are to be confirmed. We shall be welcoming the Bishop of Fulham, who is one of our team of bishops in the Diocese of London, ministering with the authority of the Diocesan Bishop. He is also an old friend and neighbour of Fr Henry. We shall have a party after the service, so please bring food. Ask Pauline if you want to know what to bring.

PCC Meetings
St Mary Magdalene’s PCC meets on Tuesday 4th September at 7pm at the Vicarage. St Peter’s PCC meets on Wednesday 5th September at 7pm in the Meeting Room.

Sponsored Cycle Ride
Fr Henry and his brother-in-law are going to cycle from Paddington to Paris, leaving this afternoon, in memory of Helen and in aid of Christian Aid Education. You can make a donation online by visiting the web page.
Thanks to those who have already donated.
There is also a box at the back of church for donations.

Lunch Club Outing
On Saturday 1st September the Lunch Club will be having an outing to Southend-on- Sea. Further details from Jacqui.

Book Club
The Book Club will meet at 7:30pm on Wednesday 19th September in the Meeting Room, upstairs at St Peter’s. We shall be reading “This is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor” by Adam Kay.

Autumn Programmes
The booklets with programmes of autumn events at St Paul’s Cathedral and St Martin-in-the Fields are now available at the back of church. The lectures at St Martin’s begin on Monday 17th September, with Bishop Rowan Williams taking on “Encountering the Other”. At St Paul’s, the first Sunday Forum is 1-2 pm on Sunday 2nd September, with Dr Eve Poole on “Buying God: Consumerism and Theology”.

Hymns
If you have favourite hymns that we never sing, please write them down and give them to James or Father Henry, and we will try to work them into the schedule. We will do our best.
